La France

Welcome to La France...beyond its ornate tiled doorstep, the cheerful shop bursts with clothing, hats, shoes, jewelry and other objects from the past 100 years and more. Located in Ybor City, I discovered this AWESOME shop while I was in Tampa for the Outback Bowl. I knew this shop was a must see, as soon as I saw the window displays...and boy was I right. The shop was full of customers and it was very hard to get pics of all the neat items, but I was able to get a few. I have never seen a VINTAGE clothing store that was sooooo full of merchandise and soooo organized...hats off to her owner! If you are ever in the Tampa area...check La France out...you will be glad you did!

AWESOME window displays!

If shoes could only talk...I'm sure we would love hearing about all the places they have been to!

VINTAGE HATS...they are soooo much FUN to display in you home...I have some in my dressing area outside my master bath.

Can you picture your HUBBY in these?

I'm going over to Suzanne's party...so please join me!

Linda, we're hoping to make it down to FL in Feb. if DH's cardiologist okays it. I've been to Ybor city & would love to find this little shop next trip. There is a Sewing & Embroidery Expo in Tampa while we're down there, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You MUST do a pink depression glass post someday!! I would ♥ ♥ ♥ to see your collection!!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm celebrating all week long. :D

Thanks for the address, Linda. I was really looking forward to going to FL & Tampa soon.
DH had some new chest pain last night so we are now questioning whether or not we should travel & be away from home for a whole month. :( *sigh* I feel like we're in limbo & our lives are on hold at the moment.
Thanks for stopping by & I'll let you know if I get to go.

GOod Morning
Looks like you had a blast, great shop! Love vintage clothing... I used to wear it and have just a few dresses left. Mostly from the 30s for some reason I liked the era.

Oh my gosh!! What a great store!! I LOVE crinolins! (Did I spell that right?) They just make me happy!

If I thought I could get away with it, I would wear one of those white crinolins with those white pumps everyday to work!

Do you think that would be work place proper? lol

Have a great day!!
